1975

Driven by Passion

The story of Arbre Joyeux began in 1975 with a forestry engineer driven by a passion for Christmas trees. Following the completion of his thesis on Christmas tree cultivation, Renald Gilbert chose to bring his expertise to life on his family’s land in Ste-Clotilde, located in Quebec’s Beauce region. While working for a paper mill in Baie-Comeau on the North Shore, Mr. Gilbert devoted countless weekends to the fields alongside his brothers, laying the foundation for what would become Arbre Joyeux.

1990

Ambitious

In the early 1990s, Mr. Gilbert decided to dedicate himself full-time to the family business. In 1995, together with his brothers, he named the company Enjoy Tree and secured their first major contract with Home Depot. Thanks to his dedication and expertise, the company quickly attracted prestigious clients. In 2006, Mr. Gilbert took full leadership of the company, continuing its expansion and strengthening its success.

The year 2017 marked a turning point for Enjoy Tree with the arrival of Mr. Gilbert’s daughter.
