The story of Enjoy Tree began in 1975 with a forestry engineer's passion for Christmas trees. After completing his thesis on Christmas tree cultivation, Renald Gilbert decided to put his knowledge into practice on his family's land in Ste-Clotilde, Beauce. At the time, Mr. Gilbert worked for a paper mill in Baie-Comeau, on the North Shore, but spent many weekends working in the fields with the support of his brothers.
1990
Ambitious
In the early 1990s, Mr. Gilbert decided to dedicate himself full-time to the family business. In 1995, together with his brothers, he named the company Enjoy Tree and secured their first major contract with Home Depot. Thanks to his dedication and expertise, the company quickly attracted prestigious clients. In 2006, Mr. Gilbert took full leadership of the company, continuing its expansion and strengthening its success.
2017
Emergence
The year 2017 marked a turning point for Enjoy Tree with the arrival of Mr. Gilbert’s daughter.
With her experience in planning, strong interpersonal skills, and customer-focused management style, Claire successfully positioned herself to reinforce the company’s continued growth.
2020-2021
Rise
In 2020, Carl Belzil joined the company as Operations Director and Partner. With his leadership and operational expertise, he brought a renewed energy and a modern approach to operations management.
Expansion
2024
Momentum
In 2024, Claire Gilbert was appointed as Chief Executive Officer, and the succession plan began to take shape—ensuring the long-term continuity and future growth of Enjoy Tree.
