Caring for your natural Christmas tree

Tips for lasting freshness throughout the holidays.

Store properly. Before installing it, keep your tree in a cool, dry place, sheltered from rain and wind.

Check the size of the tree stand. Choose a tree base large enough to hold the trunk and four liters of water. This will ensure good stability and hydration.

Trim the trunk just before installation. Cut 1-2 cm from the base of the trunk less than four hours before planting to allow for better water absorption. Do not remove the bark, as it is essential for water circulation.

First watering. Use lukewarm water for the first watering. As the tree warms up, it will be able to absorb water efficiently, which will help keep the needles hydrated.

Water regularly. Designate a person responsible for watering, especially during the first few weeks when the tree will consume several liters of water per day.

Prepare the tree for removal. Wrap it with the collection bag, to avoid scattering needles around the house.
